Matt Robson fine art

I’m a 22-year-old artist based in Northumberland, creating wildlife artwork and homeware. My original pieces celebrate the distinctive wildlife of Northumberland, crafted with meticulous detail and a contemporary, gallery-quality finish. Alongside my collections, I offer commissioned portraits designed to capture the character, and individuality of your

Commissioned Work

I specialise in bespoke commissioned portraits, primarily capturing canine and equestrian subjects with precision and character. Each piece is created from carefully selected photographs provided by the client, allowing me to preserve the unique expression, movement and personality of your horse or dog. Working in acrylic on aluminium, I achieve a crisp, contemporary finish with exceptional depth and detail. The aluminium surface enhances colour vibrancy and longevity, resulting in a striking, gallery-level artwork designed to last for generations. Every commission is entirely tailored, from composition and background choices to scale and presentation. I personally handle all framing, offering a range of refined options to complement both the artwork and your interior. The result is a highly individual piece that feels both timeless and modern — a meaningful investment and a lasting tribute to an animal that holds a special place in your life.

Homeware

My homeware collection brings my original artwork into beautifully crafted pieces designed for everyday living. Each design begins as one of my hand-painted originals, before being carefully adapted onto a curated range of tableware and interior pieces. This allows collectors to enjoy the detail, texture and character of my work in a more accessible and functional form. Every item is selected with quality and longevity in mind, ensuring it feels considered, refined and in keeping with the aesthetic of the original painting. The collection is designed to elevate a space subtly — whether styled in a contemporary setting or a more traditional interior. Rooted in the same attention to detail as my commissioned and original works, the homeware range offers a way to bring distinctive, gallery-level artwork into your home in a practical yet elegant format.

Original Work

My original work is centred around British farming and native wildlife. Each piece captures the strength, character and presence of rural life, from livestock to the wildlife that shapes the countryside. I work in acrylic on aluminium, creating clean, detailed paintings with a contemporary finish. The aluminium surface gives the work clarity and depth while keeping the overall look modern and refined.

Alongside the originals, selected pieces are released as limited edition prints. Each print is produced to a high standard to ensure the detail and colour of the original painting are maintained. The collection reflects a straightforward appreciation of the UK’s rural landscape — honest subjects, carefully observed, and presented in a way that feels both current and timeless.
